OpenAI has acquired Software Applications Incorporated, the developer behind Sky, a natural language interface for macOS. The MOVE aims to deepen AI integration into everyday computing tools, enhancing ChatGPT's functionality on Apple's platform.

Sky's technology enables AI-assisted writing, planning, and coding—capabilities that will now accelerate OpenAI's vision of context-aware computing. "We're building a future where ChatGPT doesn't just respond to prompts, but helps complete tasks," said Nick Turley, VP of ChatGPT at OpenAI.

The acquisition signals OpenAI's strategic push to embed AI directly into productivity environments. No financial terms were disclosed, but industry observers note this aligns with growing demand for seamless human-AI collaboration tools.
